Many years ago, I saw the value in managing a client.  That client is worth much more than the single car that is sold to them at any point in time.  They are worth every time they pay a visit to the service department or get parts for their car, more importantly they are worth another sale.  If you treat your customers like they are going to be your customers for life, everyone will be much happier.
